HOW TO ENJOY SNORKELING

  • Snorkeling will be leisure against natural water such as sea, river, lake, etc. Understand the dangers of natural forces (high waves, strong currents, sudden change of weather, low water temperature zone, contact with toxic organisms, etc.) and know the precautionary techniques such as knowledge of countermeasures prepared in case of emergency or how to use the equipment.
  • If you are not confident, please learn knowledge and skills at the school and seminars organized by instructing organizations.
  • Before starting snorkeling, be sure to arrange entry points (starting positions) and exit points (ending positions), and do light stretching exercises.
  • When children are using the product, parents should fully understand this instruction manual and then explain all of the rules and precautions to the child prior to snorkeling.
  • Always provide parental supervision while children are snorkeling.
  • Please use age-appropriate snorkeling equipment to ensure the best fit and performance.
  • Please check the function and usage of each product.
  • Check whether everything is functioning normally. Failure to do so may cause serious accidents or product damage.
  • If you find any product defect, please stop using it immediately, and contact your local shop or our company. ˜
  • Do not install or modify parts. Any modification will impair its normal function and may cause serious accidents or injuries. ˜
  • Make sure the products are best fitted to your body measurements.
  • If you are using wrongly sized products, fins may fall off or water may enter your mask during snorkeling.
  • It is also important that children do not use adult-sized products.
  • Please use the products that best fit the individual's size measurement.
  • Do not put the product directly on sand or ground. It may damage the automatic opening and closing of drain valves of masks and snorkels and may result in a reverse flow of water which may lead to serious injuries and accidents. Additionally, any sand collected in the fin buckle may prevent you from adjusting the strap and may cause fins to fall off during snorkeling.
  • Do not place the product in an extremely hot place such as in direct sunlight or a car in the extremely hot weather. It may cause deformation, deterioration, or damage to the product due to the heat and ultraviolet rays. Failure to do so may result in serious injury or accidents.
  • Please consult with a doctor if you have any of the following symptoms or conditions.
    • Sensitive skin and allergies
    • Dermatitis or excessive sunburn
    • Cut skin, or eczema and swelling ˜
  • If you get a "rash" or "itchy skin," please stop using it immediately and see a doctor. ˜
  • Try fitting and size adjustment on land before snorkeling. ˜
  • Please try fitting and size adjustment, before entering the water to avoid waves, or in a shallow place to stand safely. ˜

MASK, SNORKEL AND FIN CARE

During the production process silicone film can form on the glass lenses which can cause increased fogging. A toothpaste or a very mild abrasive liquid can be used to gently scrub the inside of the lens to remove this silicone layer. This will help to reduce excessive fogging on a new mask.
As mentioned above when new it is typically the silicone film from production. However, over time oils and contaminants can build up on the lenses causing a layer on top of the lens that will increase fogging. We recommend cleaning the mask occasionally with a mild liquid soap or detergent to remove this build up. This can help to reduce fogging that may occur with a dirty lens.
We recommend our Super Anti-Fog Treatment (TEC-52A) or any aftermarket anti-fog solutions on ReefTourer masks.
After use rinse your equipment in fresh clean water and dry thoroughly before storing. Take care that any purge valves or snorkel tops are free from sand and debris that can cause leakage. Store in a cool dry place away from heat and sun. Do not dry your equipment in direct UV light for extended periods of time.

GENERAL PRODUCT HANDLING

  • Do not walk or run while wearing a mask on land. ˜
  • Be sure to check the following before using the mask. Stop using immediately if you find any defects or scratches. ˜
    • Do not jump into the water while wearing it. (There is a possibility of cracking around water surface or rock etc.)
    • Cracks and chipped marks on the lens surface (It may be damaged even with a small impact)
    • Scratches and defects such as straps, skirts, frames, or buckles
    • An unusual clearance between skirt, lens, and frame
    • There is no pinching of foreign matter in the drain valve
  • You may be prohibited from using the mask in some swimming pool facilities. Please check before using. ˜
  • If you feel any irritation to the eyes, please stop using immediately and contact a doctor. ˜
  • Before using the new mask for the first time, please clean the inside the lens surface with mild liquid detergent and rinse thoroughly with fresh water. If you use it without cleaning, the lens may fog. Additionally, if the lens is not rinsed thoroughly, the detergent may cause minor damage to the mask. ˜
  • Before each mask use, we recommend applying Super Anti-Fog Treatment (TEC-52A) gently to the inside mask lens surface before entering the water.
  • Mask lens may fog due to temperature change.
  • A snorkel makes it easy for you to breathe when swimming on the water, and also helps to stabilize your position while snorkeling.
  • A snorkel is what you use while swimming on the water. You can not breathe using a snorkel under the water surface.
  • Be sure to check the following list properly, and stop using it immediately if you find any defects.
    • The drain valve is firmly attached (for snorkels that include a drain valve).
    • No foreign object such as dust or sand is caught in the drain valve. (You can use it once all foreign objects are properly removed.)
    • No damage to the mouthpiece
    • The mouthpiece fits firmly in your mouth.
  • Mask and snorkel must be attached properly to avoid any separation while snorkeling.
  • When the water enters the snorkel, it is necessary to clear out the water by blowing through the mouthpiece and snorkel pipe. Therefore, it is important to use the appropriate snorkel size for the children. If the water in the snorkel is not drained properly, you may accidentally drink the water while snorkeling.
  • Biting down on the snorkel mouthpiece too hard may damage and break the mouthpiece in pieces. Please be careful.
  • The snorkel may not return to its original shape if the snorkel is bent too hard or stays in a bent shape for too long. Please be careful.
  • While snorkeling, the snorkel tip must be out of water (on the surface of the water) in order for you to breathe. If the snorkel tip is under the water, then the water will enter the snorkel. This will prevent you from breathing through the snorkel. Be careful not to drink the water while snorkeling.
  • When the mask and snorkel are attached, please do not carry the mask and snorkel by just the snorkel pipe as the snorkel adapter may come off from the pipe.
  • By using the power of your leg, the fins will create greater propulsion power with little force, to enable effective kicking and swimming while maintaining stability and buoyancy on the water surface.
  • Do not walk or stand on sandy beaches or any rocky surface while wearing fins unless it is necessary to do so. Walking and standing on land with fins may cause you to fall and lead to serious injury or accident. Additionally, walking and standing on land with fins may scratch and damage the fin blades. Please make sure that the strap is not broken before each use.
  • Do not remove fins on rocky surfaces or while snorkeling.
  • In case you need to walk with the fins, please walk slowly backward while checking your surroundings carefully. Walking with fins is dangerous and if you walk in a forward direction there is a greater possibility of falling.
  • Make sure that the fin buckles and straps are securely in place. If you find any defects, please stop using it immediately.
  • Adjust the strap securely in place. Please do not over tighten or loosen it too much as doing so may cause the fins to fall off or result in serious foot injuries.
  • When choosing a full foot fin, please choose the size that best fit for your snorkeling use, such as bare feet, snorkeling shoes, or snorkeling socks. Please refer to the fin size chart for the best fit. Using incorrect sized fins and foot pockets may result in not obtaining the full propulsion power of the fins, but may also cause serious damage to your feet and skin.
  • Before ore using the fins for the first time, it is recommended to wipe off any oily film on the fin blade surface with a soft cloth.
  • Please be sure to use with parental supervision for children’s safety.
  • Please do not use in the following conditions: Strong Water Current, High Waves, Deep Water, and Slippery Surfaces
  • The Viewing Bucket is not for collecting/storing fish, shellfish, or other things.
  • Storing any heavy object may cause the lens to be detached from the bucket.
  • Always check to make sure the lens is securely attached to the bucket before use.
  • Placing the lens surface on a non-smooth surface may cause permanent scratches on the lens surface.
  • When the lens surface is scratched, do not polish with a cleaner.
  • Do not use an organic solvent such as thinner or alcohol for removing dirt.
  • If you are concerned about dirt, please wash with hand soap, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water.
  • Leaving the Viewing Bucket in high-temperature areas such as a car may cause permanent damage or discoloration.
  • For Parents: Do not walk while using the Viewing Bucket. This may lead to major injuries due to instability.
  • Please be sure to use with parental supervision for children’s safety.
  • Please do not use in the following conditions: Strong Water Current, High Waves,  Deep Water,  Slippery Surfaces
  • Make sure to inflate with the appropriate amount of air before use.
  • If the Snorkeling Float is filled with enough air, it is normal to see some wrinkles on the circumference.
  • The float material may soften when placed under hot sunlight for a long period of time.
  • When inflating the float, be sure not to over inflate.
  • The air stopper has a double structure of a plug and a valve.
  • Please be sure to insert the plug firmly inside the valve.
  • When it becomes difficult to insert the plug, please apply a little bit of water around the plug.
  • If you put too much air, the air plug may pop out.
  • Wash thoroughly with fresh water after use. Shake off gently to dry off most of the moisture.
  • Do not keep inside a car, a trunk, or other places under high temperature.
  • Do not jump on the float.
  • The Snorkel Float is not a lifeboat or life-saving device.
  • If you’re using for the first time, please practice several times in a small pool or water area.
  • Contact with sharp objects such as a rocky corner, pile, gravel shell fragments, glass pieces, metal pieces, and wood pieces may puncture the body of the float, causing it to deflate.
  • Keep away from any fire object such as cigarettes and lighters.
  • Avoid using a high-pressure air pump.
  • Do not put head or hips in the viewing hole of the float.
  • These socks are for keeping your feet warm and preventing injuries when wearing fins. It should not be used without fins or for any other purpose.
  • Do not walk on slippery surfaces with socks on, or walk around in wet socks.
  • If you use the socks in a swimming pool, please note that discoloration will occur due to the use of chlorine in a swimming pool.
  • These socks are made from synthetic rubber. If you get a "rash" or "itchy skin," please stop using them immediately and see a doctor.
  • After use, please wash the inside and outside with fresh water and dry under cool a shaded area.
  • Hand wash only. Do not use the washing machine or dryer to clean these socks.
  • If you leave the socks in contact with other products in a wet condition, the discoloration may occur. Please keep away from other products when wet.
  • To clean, please wash gently with a diluted neutral detergent. Do not use bleach or chlorine type as it may cause discoloration.
  • The sock fabric is flammable. Keep away from fire or any heat source.
  • To make it easy to put the socks on and take them off, two holes – one near the toes and one in the instep of the foot – are strategically placed on the socks. These are vent holes, and not defective.

MAINTENANCE

  • Proper maintenance and storage after snoring sue can help you enjoy your snorkeling equipment for a long time.
  • After snorkeling, please rinse with fresh water as soon as possible. Rinse out salt and sand with running water by repeatedly immersing the fins in fresh water several times. ˜
  • After rinsing, thoroughly shake off the moisture. Then store the fins in cool dry place, away from direct sunlight. Placing the fins in an upright position for a long period of time or storing them with heavy objects on top may cause deformation. To prevent deformation, be sure to put the included spacer inside the foot pocket and store them flat (avoid direct sunlight). ˜
  • If you are concerned about dirt, wipe down with a cloth moistened with water diluted neutral detergent, then rinse with water. If any detergent ingredients are left on the product, the product will be damaged. Also, do not use organic solvents such as thinner and alcohol, as it may cause discoloration, deformation, or damage. ˜
  • When washing, please remove any foreign objects carefully from the snorkel pipe and inside of the mouthpiece. Damage to those parts may cause water leakage during snorkeling. ˜Thoroughly rinse your mask in fresh water to remove any neutral detergents you may have used. Otherwise, it may cause cracks. ˜
  • Silicone parts may be discolored by exposure to the direct sunlight or fluorescent light. Discoloration will not affect the performance of the product. To avoid discoloration, we recommend that you store your gear in a cool dry place, not exposed to light. ˜
  • Elastomer products are susceptible to deformation due to heat and long-term use, so please be careful when storing.
  • Before storing, make sure the buckles are properly attached to the fins.
  • If you keep the products in contact with other color products (wet suit, swimsuits, masks, snorkel, fins, etc), product colors may transfer. When transporting or storing, please put products in individual cases or bags. ˜
  • Do not leave in a car or in a trunk in extreme heat weather, or on a boat under direct sunlight. Deformation or discoloration may occur, and material life may be shortened.
  • For uses over a long period of time, you may notice common wear and tear such as strap breakage or cracks. Please check before each use and stop using if there are severe wear and tear.
