Bahia Honda State Park is home to spectacular reefs teeming with marine life. It's perfect for snorkelers of all skill levels, and will surely keep everyone from kids to teens to parents entertained for hours on end. The park is located at Mile Marker 37 along US 1. Be sure to bring $8 per vehicle to gain entrance. Pedestrians enter for $2.50 each.

The snorkeling area is located on the Atlantic Ocean side, and the water ranges from 5-70 ft, boasting great visibility. For more advanced snorkelers, you can head into the Bahia Honda Channel to continue your adventure. Float through seagrass beds above the rocky coral and keep your eyes peeled for sea stars, spiny lobsters and varieties of conch. If you're lucky, you may spot turtles, octopus, stingrays, and angelfish among the diverse marine life.
